Teaching Assistant Teachers UK and Provide Education are currently recruiting a large number of Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in Derby City & Derbyshire and the surrounding local areas. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the teacher across the whole class or working 1:1 or group work with some students and ensuring that all students are engaged and on task. Other duties as a Teaching Assistant include: * Set up and tidy classrooms for lessons. * Work with students to make sure they understand. * Watch, record and report the progress students make. * Look after children who are upset or unwell. * Lead classes with help from the teacher. The successful candidates will: * Have a passion to work with young people. * Excellent communication skills. * Be able to work well as part of a team but also individually. * Have strong behaviour management skills. As a Teaching Assistant, the typical school hours are 8:30-15:30 and any variance to this will be confirmed by your consultant prior to your assignment.
