Stanton House is partnering with a privately owned designer and supplier of high‑quality products across several well‑known brands.
This is a high-impact leadership position reporting to the Group CFO, with full responsibility for financial accounting, operational finance, and team leadership across the UK group. You\’ll also work in close partnership with a Director of Commercial Finance who leads FP&A and commercial decision support.
With the business now looking to grow, the focus is now on optimising processes, driving control and governance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead consolidated group reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and month-end close
- Oversee cash, treasury, and credit control functions
- Manage external audit and preparation of statutory accounts
- Lead tax compliance across VAT, Corporation Tax, and Employment Taxes
- Strengthen financial control environment, policies, and procedures
- Ensure full utilisation of D365 functionality and support system/process improvements
- Manage a 16-person finance team across qualified, part-qualified, and transactional staff
- Act as a key business partner to the wider senior leadership team
Candidate Profile
- ACA / ACCA qualified with 10+ years’ post-qualified experience
- Strong technical accounting expertise and experience leading audits and statutory reporting
- Hands-on leadership style with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Background in both fast-paced entrepreneurial environments and structured corporate settings
- Excellent working capital and cashflow management capabilities
- Proven experience with finance transformation and ERP systems (D365 highly desirable)
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and external advisors
- Resilient, detail-driven, and improvement-focused
