We are currently collaborating with a school in the Forest of Dean to find an Early Years General Teaching Assistant.Role Overview: Work collaboratively as part of the EYFS team and Pre-School. Contribute to the smooth running of the onsite Pre-School. Deliver high-quality learning and development experiences to children aged 3-4 years. Responsibilities: Work in the Breakfast Club every morning (7:30am-8:30am) and the After School Club for 3 or 4 days a week (3:00pm-5:30pm). Safeguard the well-being of the children in the setting. Have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and its overarching principles. Read, understand, and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting. As a Key Person, ensure the children\’s records are current and well-maintained. Respond to the needs, thoughts, ideas, and interests of the children to help them flourish. Adjust practice and provision \’in the moment\’ to build on children\’s current interests. Support all team members fully and professionally. Develop positive and warm relationships with all children in your care. Enhance your role within the team by sharing your expertise to improve practice and provision.
