Were partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing UK-based pet food subscription business on a mission to make mealtimes healthier, simpler, and more personalised for pets and their owners.
This independently owned company is passionate about high-quality nutrition, sustainability, and creating a seamless customer experience. With direct relationships with suppliers across Thailand and the Pacific and a loyal UK customer base, theyre seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take the lead across supply chain, warehousing, HR compliance, and operational processes.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of operationsincluding supplier management, stock control, logistics, HR processes, and health & safety. Youll oversee a small, in-house team (including warehouse manager, pickers and packers) and work closely with international suppliers and freight handlers to keep operations running smoothly.
This is a highly hands-on role where being equally comfortable behind a spreadsheet or on the warehouse floor is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of supply chain management, warehousing, and customer service.
- Manage supplier relationships, especially with international partners (Thailand, Pacific region).
- Monitor and re-order stock levels, ensuring timely shipments and accurate forecasting.
- Oversee freight and shipping container logistics with full documentation and certification.
- Support and develop the warehouse team, including direct line management of the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure compliance with HR and H&S regulations, including risk assessments and onboarding.
- Review and improve operational systems and quality controls.
- Prepare monthly KPI reports and track operational performance.
- Stay informed on competitor activity and provide relevant insights.

- 3+ years experience in operations and supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics and stock planning.
- High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Confident communicator and team leader.
- Comfortable with both office-based tasks (reporting, planning) and hands-on warehouse support.
- Familiarity with H&S standards and HR processes.
- Proactive, practical, and solutions-focused mindset.
