Head of Financial Reporting
Location: London (hybrid – 3 days)

We are partnering with a highly successful, PE‐backed information and data services business that is seeking a Head of Financial Reporting.
Following a period of strong organic growth and a transformative acquisition that has doubled the size of the business and significantly expanded its US presence, this is a rare opportunity to lead and shape the external financial reporting function in a dynamic, high‐growth environment.
The role offers the chance to influence key financial processes, work closely with senior leadership, and contribute to the continued growth and success of a market‐leading business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead preparation and submission of statutory accounts for all entities, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act 2006 and other regulations.
Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors.
Oversee group consolidation processes and adherence to reporting policies.
Interpret and apply new accounting standards and regulatory changes; draft technical accounting papers and support Audit Committee reporting.
Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting and transaction finance processes.
Collaborate with finance, tax, legal, and investor relations teams; support M&A activity including due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration.
Manage third‐party Company Secretarial compliance providers and ensure timely filings and governance support.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Support strategic initiatives and special projects, including finance system implementation, financial modelling, scenario analysis, business case development, and Big 4 RFP requirements.
Required Experience
Big 4 experience, direct or indirect, including RFP involvement.
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with 5+ years PQE; experience in similar roles within PE‐backed or multinational businesses.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, with experience in statutory reporting, audit coordination, and technical accounting.
Proficient in ERP systems and financial consolidation tools.
Track record of improving reporting processes and internal controls, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experienced working with cross‐functional teams and external advisors.
Able to interpret complex accounting issues and provide clear guidance; strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Highly accountable and resilient, with strong organisational and time‐management skills; adaptable in fast‐paced, evolving environments.
Advanced Excel and reporting tool skills; strong written and verbal communication.
