Job Description:
We are working with a leading residential Propco with an impressive multi-billion-pound portfolio across the UK. They are currently looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a rapidly growing team at the forefront of the real-estate market and oversee their CAPEX refurbishment project across their southern portfolio.
Remuneration:
£65, – £75, + benefits package + bonus.
Hybrid home based role with 1 day in the office per week.
The Role:
The Senior Building Surveyor will join in a project biased role overseeing the southern residential lease hold portfolio and therefore this would ideally suit someone based in the Hampshire / South coast area. The role offers a fully flexible hybrid work set up being based 1 day in the office for team meetings and then 4 days from home or at site visits.
The core role will be 65% focused on the project management and contracts administration of their residential block internal and external common parts refurbishment projects valued between £50, and c. £3 million in line with the agreed PPM (planned preventative maintenance reports) with some additional commercial asset projects. In addition to the project work the Building Surveyor will also complete the professional work covering pre-acquisition surveys, reinstatement cost assessment, dilapidations, defect diagnosis and building pathology and inputting into the 5/10-year PPM’s. Due to the level of the position there will be additional opportunity to assist with mentoring junior staff and business development.
Requirements:
MRICS qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying.
Experience overseeing Residential PPM projects valued between £20k and c£3 million.
Experience of JCT contracts, defect diagnosis, building pathology, dilapidation, RCA’s and building regulations.
Excellent communication and report writing skills with the ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
Additional experience in AutoCAD would be desirable.
