Job Role: Stores Operative Location: Bury St Edmunds Salary: £25,000 – £27,500 Hours: 06:00am – 15:45pm – Monday to Thursday (4 Day Week) Proactive are currently in search of an experienced Stores Operative to start work in Bury St Edmunds as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity working for a market leading manufacturing company. You will be responsible for preparing kit for the production team and assisting within the goods in/out area. Main Responsibilities and Tasks: Assisting with stock checking to ensure production team have required materials. Picking of parts and components for the production team. Preparation of necessary documentation for shipping. Identify stock discrepancies. Regular stock counts and annual stock take of demo equipment. Receipt and storage of goods and parts. Controlling and transacting goods in and out from customers, including packing of equipment. Monitoring inventory and ordering spares / replacement parts where required.Knowledge and Skills: Essential: Previous experience in a Stores or Goods Inwards environment. Ability to use own initiative to address problems and present solutions. Able to demonstrate a good understanding of Warehouse and Materials control. Professional approach. Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks / flexibility. Experience in picking, packing and shipping activities.
