Are you an experienced SQL Database Administrator looking to join a team where your work genuinely makes a difference?

We’re seeking a DBA with solid SQL skills and a good understanding of performance tuning and optimization data migrations to join our dynamic, innovative team for a 12 month fixed term contract.

What you’ll do:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for the stability, availability and performance of a highly-available database infrastructure
  • Helping to set up new database environments
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any technical challenges that arise
  • Ensuring systems meet SLA’s
  • Enabling a seamless transition from legacy systems to modern cloud-based environments

Who You’ll Be:

You’ll be an experienced DBA, with extensive SQL Server experience, and comfortable working as part of a team.

Other useful skills and experience include:

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server 2019 with along with experience in 2008R2/2012/2014/2016 databases
  • Experience with SQL Server backups, restores, DBCC, corruption and recovery
  • Experience with database monitoring tools, e.g. SolarWinds, Idera and Datadog
  • Proven T-SQL authoring skills
  • Experience with DBA tools, DACPAC, GitHub, Automation and IAC
  • Proven willingness to support with ad-hoc overtime requests
  • Experience maintaining databases with minimal or no downtime
