Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, etc) in a closed-loop, corrective-action process to improve product quality and reliability performance.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Researches, performs, and documents visual, electrical, mechanical and other test methods (destructive and non-destructive) as required to isolate failure modesIdentifies and documents the most probable Root Cause(s) of failuresEnsures integrity of failure data including conditions, symptoms, and failure modesIdentifies trends in failures and provides quantitative analysis of such trendsDrives Corrective Action for simple failuresPrepares complete, concise Failure Analysis reports for internal and external customer communicationsWORK ENVIRONMENT:Failure Analysis Engineers regularly work in office, development and test labs, and manufacturing facilities.
