As a rapidly growing business with an ambitious plan for future growth and investment.Who we need:We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with RF experience to join our engineering team.Where it is:The role is office-based in Witham, Essex, working with a small team, and collaborating with our facilities based in Corby (Northamptonshire) and Tennessee (USA).What you\’ll do:Product design, using SolidWorks to create components, assemblies, engineering drawings, prototyping, and tooling.Assign part numbers and descriptions in accordance with company engineering standards.Create and maintain part numbers and bills of Materials within E-Max ERP System.Assist with costing and labour estimation for cable assemblies and components.Provide technical support for the sales team and manufacturing team.Undertake production engineering projects with a view to continuous improvement and cost reduction.Maintaining drawing & part number databases.Create and maintain documentation for engineering procedures and processes.What we want:The successful candidate would be passionate about their work, have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well with customers and co-workers. Be creative, enquiring and be capable of problem solving. Experience of RF/Microwave connector design is essential and cryogenic component design would be an advantage but not essential.
