Freelance Technical Manager – Residential Scheme (500 Units) Location: Guildford Start Date: ASAP Duration: Long-term Day Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join a leading contractor or developer on a major residential scheme of approximately 500 units based in Guildford. This is a long-term freelance role with an immediate start available. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the technical delivery of a multi-phase residential development. Manage the design process from planning through to construction, working closely with external consultants and internal departments. Ensure all technical information is accurate, coordinated, and issued in line with programme requirements. Review and approve drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with Building Regulations and NHBC standards. Support the site team with technical queries and resolve design issues efficiently. Requirements: Proven experience as a Technical Manager (or Senior Technical Coordinator stepping up) on large-scale residential schemes. Strong technical knowledge of traditional build and/or RC frame construction methods. Familiarity with current UK Building Regulations and planning policy. Strong communication and coordination skills. Available to start immediately or at short notice. Ideally based within a commutable distance to Guildford.
