Overview
Morgan Hunt are working with a client in the construction and property industry to recruit an IT Manager on a permanent basis. The organisation are looking for someone to join their team and lead both the strategic and operational delivery of IT services across our offices. They are looking for someone who can proactively develop and implement a forward-looking IT strategy, while ensuring the day-to-day systems and infrastructure run seamlessly. You\’ll have the opportunity to influence how they use cloud technology, cyber security, AI, and workflow automation to increase productivity and resilience across their business.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Develop and present an annual IT budget and cashflow forecast to the Board.
- Leadership: Propose and lead on IT strategy, covering cloud services adoption and architecture, cybersecurity and data backup frameworks, IT workflow enhancements, use of AI and automation, and disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Infrastructure & System Management: Maintain and upgrade servers at both offices.
- Infrastructure & System Management: Monitor and manage UPS systems.
- Infrastructure & System Management: Manage endpoint and server operating systems and ensure all software licensing is compliant and current (Microsoft 365, Adobe, Autodesk, etc.).
- Infrastructure & System Management: Maintain backup systems and ensure data resilience.
- Infrastructure & System Management: Manage relationships with ISPs and other third-party providers.
- Infrastructure & System Management: Maintain and improve office IT equipment, including conference room tech and telephone systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an IT Manager role, ideally within the construction or professional services sector.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and business systems.
- Confident in presenting to and advising board-level stakeholders.
- Comfortable balancing strategic projects with hands-on support work.
- Strong communicator and effective collaborator across all levels of a business.
