Your new company You will work for an award-winning, global company based in Derry City. This business has over 450 employees within 10 offices supporting 1300+ clients worldwide. An innovative and forward-thinking company which has seen continuous growth over the past number of years. Your new role As Payroll Specialist, you will work within a team ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with statutory regulations. You will have an understanding of UK payroll legislation, attention to detail and the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios. You will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy and providing exceptional service to employees. Your responsibilities will include: End-to-end payroll process for UK employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments Processing UK payroll including all new starters, leavers, absence, statutory leave and pay along with other manual adjustments as required Calculating and processing statutory deductions, including income tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension contributions Preparing and filing payroll taxes Staying updated with UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations Overseeing the administration of employee pension schemes, including enrolment, contributions, and liaison with pension providers Reviewing and validating payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions Collaborating with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data management Coordinating year-end payroll processes, including the production of annual P60s and P11D forms Handling payroll-related enquiries from employees, addressing concerns and providing accurate information Preparing and posting monthly payroll journals Conducting monthly payroll reconciliations and solving any discrepancies or errors Working alongside external payroll providers to process payroll in the USA, Canada, Switzerland and Germany Ad hoc analysis on payroll related data as required by the Finance and FP&A teams Assisting with monthly commission calculations Approving and processing monthly expense claims What you\’ll need to succeed Minimum of 2 years payroll experience You will be extremely comfortable with technology, utilising payroll systems to process and report on payroll. Sage payroll experience would be preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to communicate complex information in a straightforward and understandable way. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data and expertise to logically and creatively assist stakeholders with their queries and business challenges. Excellent time management skills with the ability to organise, prioritise and execute on multiple tasks, taking accountability for delivering on promises. Experience dealing with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, working together to ensure accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing. Experience working in a dynamic environment where you have been comfortable with change.
