Key Account Manager – Building Envelope

The Role: The Key Account Manager will be proactively targeting T1 & T2 Contractors across the Southern region for a global product manufacturer. You will be selling a market leading A2 fire-rated fibre-cement cladding system which is specified into the residential & re-cladding refurbishment market sectors, as well as the commercial sector used primarily within healthcare, education, and stadia & leisure applications. Here you will apply a \’top down\’ approach with the Contractors by penetrating at the c-suite level and working down through the supply and stakeholder chains to influence, sell the story, and become the name at the top of the framework. The Key Account Manager will inherit two of the largest existing relationships to get going with major T1\’s.

In addition, the Key Account Manager will also deliver CPD\’s where applicable, hold design meetings, and manage the project pipeline across the South which may involved other sales people within the business who are working at site level. This Key Account Manager role is designed to get our client much closer to their Contracting partners, get on more frameworks, and drive market share across the region. You will have support of a data stack, CRM, and the wider sales teams to support in building relationships with your target partners.

They are heavily investing into their European business and are building new manufacturing premises to ensure the UK market is well serviced. They are looking for like-minded people who have backgrounds in construction specification selling and have a work ethic, drive, and passion to match. Their teams in the UK are well established and now they\’re entering a growth phase of which this role is a part of that journey.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a track record dealing with T1 & T2 contractors at a c-suite level
  • Understand building envelope product ranges or other heavyside building products
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Based in the South of the UK with good transport links to the South East
  • Understands the supply chain in the construction market
  • Activity driven, understand commercials, and can back up figures
  • Full & Clean Driving license

Salary: £55,000 – 65,000 DOE + 20%-40% bonus (with added multipliers) + Car (Hybrid) + Pension + 24 days holiday

Location: London, Reading, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth, Crawley
