Rig Electrician (Rig Site and Non-Rig Site)We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Rig Electrician to join Saudi Arabia petroleum company in KSA.As a Rig Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment on offshore drilling rigs. This is a demanding and challenging role that requires a strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.Responsibilities:Perform regular maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and equipment on the rig.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues and malfunctions.Install, upgrade, and modify electrical systems as required.Test and calibrate electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality.Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.Collaborate with other rig personnel to ensure efficient operations.Provide guidance and support to junior electricians and rig crew members.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent acceptable to SAUDI.Associate\’s Degree from a technical college acceptable to SAUDI.Manufacturer training courses, a minimum of two (2) of the following:Ross Hill SCR SystemsIPS SCR SystemBaylor SCR Systems and Brake ControllersPLC (Programmable Logic Controls)Martin/Decker InstrumentationAir Conditioning & Refrigeration training courseTwo (2) years in the electrical field with not less than two (2) years experience in the Oil/Gas drilling industry.Subject matter expert knowledge of all electrical test equipment associated with the electrical maintenance of drilling rigs, i.e. VOM, digital multimeters, oscilloscope, muggers, phase rotation detectors, etc.Working knowledge of computers with a minimum capability of using Microsoft programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.Familiarity with API, ABS, IEEE, & SOLAS standards.Good leadership skills with the ability to perform on-the-job training for Rig Electricians and trainees.Necessary English skills to communicate verbally and in written form (e.g. letters, forms, and reports).Communication skills necessary to submit reports, complete forms, and converse with supervisors and management in English.Working knowledge of drilling operations to ensure knowledgeable recommendations and decisions are made to minimize interruption of rig operations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
