To track consumer trends in the Tech & Durables goods sector, NIQ relies on sales data exchanges with retailers in the industry, whether they operate physical stores or online platforms.
The primary purpose of this role is to help improve NIQ’s position within the Tech and Durables industries (Electronics, Telecoms, IT, DIY, Homewares, Optics & others). The Retail Partnership Specialist will leverage their network and industry understanding to forge pivotal connections with industry stakeholders within retail. This role demands a blend of expertise and industry acumen, enabling effective planning and execution of the team’s projects.
The position is of strategic importance, as the successful execution of these responsibilities is anticipated to elevate retail data partnerships, enhance service quality, and open new business opportunities. Contributions via this role will be instrumental in shaping the future trajectory of NIQ\’s growth and success in the Tech and Durable markets in the UK.
Responsibilities
The Retail Partnership Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving recruitments targets, focusing on the following key areas:
- Identification of Key Industry Touchpoints: Actively identify and engage with industry touchpoints, facilitating the introduction and promotion of NIQ’s Tech and Durable data partnership model.
- Improve coverage through retailer recruitment: Investigate and facilitate new data sourcing using various methods; direct approaches, industry organizations, software providers etc., always aiming to expand and diversify the reach of NIQ\’s data partnerships.
- Adapt Proposition: Take a supporting role in refining and enhancing NIQ’s value proposition. This involves an understanding of industry dynamics and customer needs to ensure that offerings and go to market are competitive and relevant.
- Refinement of Pitch Documents: work alongside team members to ensure pitch documents are compelling and effectively aligned with industry expectations and standards. This includes crafting persuasive narratives and tailoring messages to resonate with targeted stakeholders.
- Internal Coordination: maintain close relationship with the Operations team for the integration of new retailers and banners.
Requirements
- Min 1-3+ years of related experience.
- Solid sales skills and developed sales expertise in target scope.
- Solid understanding of data analytics industry, business model, products, services and solutions.
- Solid understanding of market trends and its interdependencies impacting customers.

Location and Travel Requirements
Based in London, the role is designed to be conducted in an Hybrid mode with some working days in the local office. Mutually agreed travel will be required, such as attending industry events or participating in face to face meetings. All travel will be subject to approval and based on business needs.
