About the Opportunity

White Label Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a key client in the Warrington area as they continue to expand their growing Design and Projects Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer who is passionate about new product development, manufacturing and project ownership to join a stable, cash‑positive business with strong growth plans. You will play a pivotal role in supporting factory expansion, continuous improvement and R&D activity, with clear opportunities for long‑term career development.

This position is primarily Warrington‑based, with ad‑hoc travel required to the Dudley site to support projects and production activity.

The Role

This is a varied, hands‑on design role where you will take responsibility for projects from initial concept through to manufacture, testing and continuous improvement.

You will be involved in:

  • New product development and redesign
  • Jig, fixture and assembly design
  • Factory expansion and production improvements
  • R&D and onsite product testing
  • Close collaboration with production, fabrication and technical teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support new product development and redesign projects
  • Produce 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks (essential requirement)
  • Design jigs, fixtures and assembly processes
  • Take ownership of project delivery and timelines
  • Support R&D and onsite testing
  • Create BOMs, part codes and technical data
  • Develop flat patterns for manufacture
  • Carry out CAM programming
  • Support marketing materials and product training
  • Handle technical enquiries and customer specials
  • Work closely with production and fabrication teams
  • Carry out product testing and performance improvements
  • Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues

Requirements & Skills

  • Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Sheet metal and fabrication experience is essential
  • BOM creation experience (SAGE beneficial)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / QMS
  • CAM / RADAN experience advantageousPress brake and turret punch knowledge advantageous
  • Independent, proactive and hardworking
