The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Travel Insurance Insurer Relationship Manager to oversee and nurture strategic relationships with our insurance partners. This role is critical in ensuring smooth collaboration between our organization and travel insurance providers, optimising service delivery, product development, and compliance with industry standards.
What will you do?
- Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for specified travel insurance provider partnerships.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers to ensure seamless communication and performance alignment.
- Conduct regular partner governance and review meetings to assess performance, address issues, and explore opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the negotiation and management of insurance contracts and service level agreements.
- Monitor contractual obligations and ensure both parties are meeting agreed terms.
- Track OKR’s and SLAs for all insurance partners, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare regular performance reports and present insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with Insurance Product Team and our insurers on developing new travel insurance products and enhancing existing offerings.
- Coordinate product training and updates with internal stakeholders (sales, support, marketing).
- Ensure all insurance partnerships comply with relevant regulations such as Fair Value Assessments, licensing, and internal policies.
- Liaise with legal and compliance teams as needed.
- Work cross-functionally with pricing, marketing, sales, claims, and customer service teams to ensure partner strategies align with business goals.
- Provide feedback to insurers from internal teams and customers to inform continuous improvement.
Essentials:
- Experience in insurance relationship management, preferably within the travel, pet or general insurance sector.
- Strong understanding of travel insurance products, claims processes, and underwriting principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Bonus skills you may pack in your suitcase:
- Experience working in a global or regional insurer/broker capacity.
- Knowledge of digital distribution models and insurtech partnerships.
- Ability to travel occasionally for partner meetings and industry events
