We are working with an established supplier company based in the Thanet area who are looking for a Business Development Manager to be employed permanently.
Offering a salary of circa £40,000/annum, a company car and a potential commission scheme. This is a great role for the right person.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Focus on new business generation, both warm and cold leads.
* Build and maintain relationships with a wide range of clients across the UK.
* Confident, proactive, and commercially aware – able to speak with authority and represent the business on site.
* Conduct site visits, take measurements and photos, liaise with Designer, prepare and send accurate quotes.
* Comfortable with travel for site visits (approximately 2 days a week).
* Experience of introducing and implementing a CRM system is highly desirable.
* Willingness to support wider business needs – e.g. sending purchase orders, helping during staff holidays, answering the phones, supporting with enquiries, etc.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience in sales or BDM roles within a similar or relevant industry (e.g. engineering, construction, manufacturing, estimating).
* Comfortable with high-value projects and a consultative sales process.
* Happy to be based in office rather than remote working.
* Confident and presentable, with initiative and flexibility.
* Training/courses can be offered to bridge any industry-specific knowledge gaps.
