Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled)
Location: Craigavon, County Armagh, Northern Ireland
Hourly Rate: £48K – £52,416
Contract: Permanent, full‑time
MCS Group is proud to be working for a large-scale food manufacturer based in County Armagh to recruit multiple multi-skilled maintenance engineers to join their ever-growing team.
Your Role
As a Maintenance Engineer you will provide electrical, mechanical and instrumentation support, ensuring the plant runs safely and efficiently. You will:
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance in line with SAP PM and site procedures
- Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions to maintain uptime
- Perform Point‑of‑Work risk assessments and adhere to SOPs and safe working practices
- Update the asset register and maintenance records via tablet device
- Participate in 5‑Why root‑cause analyses following breakdowns or deviations
- Hand over work effectively at shift changes and communicate with all stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement projects across the site
About You
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or Mechatronics
- Recent maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong cross‑trade skills and a flexible, multi‑skilled approach
- Proven problem‑solving ability with logical fault‑finding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces and under pressure
