This is a site-based role across both North West and North East England. Candidates must be open to regional travel.
HMO Property Designs specialise in the conversion of residential terraced housing into HMOs and self-contained apartments.
Weβve been producing new HMOs in both the student and professional rental markets for the last 15 years throughout the North West and North East.
We have continual work already signed and agreed for the next 2 years and beyond.
Weβre looking for an experienced Architect to work with us on a consultancy basis carrying out architectural and planning work β from initial visits to projects through to the planning application stage.
Duties:
- Visit to site to review current layout and assess suitability for each specific project.
- Production of high quality existing and proposed plans/drawings for submission to Planning, including any required revisions required as the application progresses.
- Submission of full planning application and any relevant supporting documents (Management Plan and Planning Statement).
- Ongoing pro-active management and monitoring of application progress and dealing with any actions/queries throughout β from start to finish.
- Weekly updates to HMO Designs β with email follow-ups β until final sign-off.
Experience
- Proven related experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Planning regulations and requirements.
- Proficiency in time management techniques to effectively prioritise tasks; there may be a need to work on multiple projects at any one time.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide ongoing advice and feedback throughout.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
