Chartered Surveyor – Rural Consultancy

Overview:
A leading property consultancy is seeking a Chartered Surveyor to join their rural team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an MRICS-qualified professional with a strong background in rural consultancy to work on a diverse range of projects, including landlord and tenant matters, environmental stewardship, development land, valuations, and compulsory purchase.

You\’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, with the opportunity to grow your own client base and develop new work streams. The role offers excellent career progression, ongoing training, and a strong emphasis on business development and networking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct property inspections and prepare RICS-compliant reports
  • Advise clients on rural grant schemes and natural capital opportunities
  • Work directly with landowners to enhance and maximise property income
  • Manage day-to-day operations on rural estates
  • Negotiate Biodiversity Net Gain agreements with landowners and developers

Candidate Profile:

  • MRICS qualified with experience in the rural sector
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to provide sound client advice
  • Confident communicator and natural networker
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues
  • A solid understanding of farming and the agricultural community is essential
