JOB TITLE: Head of Compliance LOCATION: Swindon SALARY & BENEFITS: £80k plus BONUS HOURS: Full Time

White Horse are working exclusively with a high-growth, international brand to appoint a strategic and commercially minded Head of Compliance. This newly created leadership role will take full ownership of the compliance and risk agenda, ensuring robust governance, regulatory alignment, and ethical practices across their markets.

As the business continues to scale, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced compliance leader to design and embed a best-in-class framework that balances regulatory requirements with commercial agility. You’ll work closely with the SLT, influencing decision-making and fostering a strong culture of integrity at every level.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Lead the development and execution of the global compliance and risk strategy across all business regions.
  • Design and maintain a scalable, fit-for-purpose compliance programme aligned to local and international regulatory standards, including data protection, anti-bribery, ESG, consumer protection, and modern slavery legislation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, assess business impact, and proactively advise senior stakeholders.
  • Align internal policies with those of the wider group, tailoring implementation to suit local markets while maintaining consistency.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, acting as the primary contact for regulators and external legal partners.
  • Drive company-wide training, communication, and awareness initiatives to ensure all employees understand their compliance responsibilities.
  • Provide regular compliance updates and reporting to the Executive Team and Board.
  • Support commercial teams in identifying legal risks and collaborating with legal advisors to protect the business.

You need to be:

  • Qualified in Business, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
  • An experienced compliance, risk or legal professional with a solid background in senior leadership roles.
  • Commercially savvy, with a proven ability to influence strategic decisions and embed compliance into operational processes.
  • Highly knowledgeable in global regulatory environments, particularly those affecting the travel, lifestyle, or retail sectors.
  • A confident communicator and stakeholder manager, able to influence at Board level.
  • Analytical, pragmatic, and solution-focused with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
