Jenson Fisher are excited to be working with our client, a well-regarded and long established business based in Glasgow, as they seek an experienced Acocunts Assistantto join their team on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include: – Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. – Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts. – Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain up-to-date financial records. – Support the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. – Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. – Provide support during audits, including preparing relevant documentation. – Collaborate with team members to resolve financial queries and ensure smooth operations. This role is ideal for someone who has prior experience in an accounting or finance role and is proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to deadlines are essential. A qualification such as AAT or working towards ACCA/CIMA would be advantageous but not essential.
