The Role:
We’re growing fast, and adding new disciplines across the organisation. You’ll be the first product marketing hire, reporting into our VP of Growth Marketing. While you report into VP of Growth Marketing, you will partner cross-functionally, working across product, marketing and sales to shape product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies that resonate with our target audience. Your work will directly impact customer acquisition, engagement, and retention and drive product adoption. This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps practices and how software gets built in large enterprises with tens or hundreds of development teams to effectively communicate with our technical audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine product messaging and positioning to clearly articulate Cloudsmith’s unique value proposition.

  • Plan and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new product launches, feature releases, and major updates.

  • Create compelling content including website copy, whitepapers, and blog posts, presenting Cloudsmith as the best solution for potential buyers and influencers.

  • Conduct market research to understand customer pain points and industry trends, generating insights that improve our positioning and make our products more competitive in the marketplace.

  • Collaborate with demand generation, content marketing, and sales teams to drive pipeline growth by helping to plan campaigns and contribute to both external and internal content creation.

  • Enable sales and customer success teams with effective messaging, battlecards, and pitch decks so they can effectively position and sell Cloudsmith’s products.

  • Inform roadmap decisions by regularly delivering customer insights and feedback to product and engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS or DevOps-related industries.

  • Strong subject matter expertise in DevOps, artifact management, and software supply chain security.

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, DevOps, and cloud-native technologies.

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a knack for translating technical concepts into customer-friendly messaging.

  • Experience developing GTM strategies and launching products in competitive markets.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, sales, and marketing teams.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools to measure success.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

We also hold all-hands offsites in Belfast (or otherwise) thrice yearly, with guest speakers and team activities. Most Cloudsmithers work remotely, close and far, so we rely on our online collaboration tools; Slack, Google Docs, Linear, and other popular collaboration tools are how we work.
