As a member of the Catering team at Holy Spirit Croydon, you will be preparing meals for our residents and managing an established team of catering assistants. This role includes overseeing the effective meal service to our aged care residents, as well as providing best practice service in kitchen cleanliness, documentation and food preparation.
About the Role:
- Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents online with their dietary needs
- Managing all resources within the kitchen including equipment and food supplies within your approved budget
- Maintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the Aged Care quality standards
To be successful in this role you’ll need
- A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
- Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
- A reliable team player
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
- Basic Food safety Practices Certificate
- Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
- Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) preferred
- To be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
- NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
