The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are seeking to appoint 2 self-motivated and ambitious registered Building Control Surveyors to join our professional Building Control Team.

The ideal candidates will hold minimum Class 2F or 3 registrations with the Building Safety Regulator, and be Chartered Members, Members, or Fellows of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) or an acceptable professional body.

Responsibilities include undertaking plan assessments, site inspections, and enforcement work across various projects, from small domestic to large commercial developments, depending on registration class.

The role also involves assessing and taking actions to protect the public from dangerous structures, unauthorized works, demolitions, obstructions to the highway, and participating in the Council\’s out-of-hours emergency call-out service.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Substantial experience and understanding of Building Control functions and legislation.
  • Experience dealing with dangerous buildings and enforcement actions.
  • Membership of CABE/RICS or an acceptable alternative.
  • Class 2F or 3 Registration with the Building Safety Regulator.
  • Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency call-outs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
  • Valid driving license and ability to travel efficiently.
