Eliot is seeking dedicated Mental Health Specialists II to join our team in providing Respite services to adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses. Eliot’s Respite program is a short term restorative service that assists clients with obtaining and maintaining community living. As a Respite Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing individualized supports that assist with stabilization and successful community transition. Our ideal candidate will have the skills to establish supportive relationships, excellent communication, crisis management and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with skill development for activities of daily living
- Collaborate with clients and staff to develop and achieve short term goals
- Provide interventions focused on problem-solving, crisis management, skills training, behavior modeling, optimism, and encouragement
- Assist clients with developing coping skills to include medication administration
- Support clients in accessing and utilizing community resources and services to include the participation in community activities
- Administer and monitor consumer medications in accordance with agency, DMH and DPH regulations, polices and procedures
- Maintain CPR, First Aid, MAP and other training certifications as required by the agency and DMH
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Experience working with adults with mental illness
- Valid Massachusetts drivers license
Schedule
- Sunday 9am-4pm, Monday 9am-3pm, Saturday 9am-4pm (20 hours)
Annual Salary
$41,600 – $41,600 USD
