WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Delegate Sales Manager to take charge of our delegate sales revenue. You will lead sales campaigns, bring in new business, secure bulk deals, and develop new revenue opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in selling conference passes at large expos, particularly in the automotive, transport, and infrastructure sectors. We prefer candidates who have worked in European and North American markets and are confident in building strong relationships with industry professionals.
THE ROLE
Growing Sales & Revenue
- Take full ownership of delegate sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Create and run sales campaigns to increase ticket sales.
- Secure bulk deals with companies, industry groups, and associations.
- Identify and launch new revenue streams, such as VIP tickets and networking events.
- Work with the marketing and sponsorship teams to maximize delegate attendance.
New Business & Sales Strategy
- Set up and improve sales processes to make sales more effective and scalable.
- Research and reach out to new clients and industry sectors.
- Use industry connections to develop long-term client relationships.
- Work with exhibitors and sponsors to sell delegate passes to their networks.
- Keep up with market trends and competitors to find new opportunities.
Building Client Relationships
- Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers and high-value clients.
- Develop custom packages for corporate groups and international delegations.
- Ensure excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with marketing and content teams to align messaging.
- Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and insights to leadership.
- Use CRM tools and automation to manage leads and track progress.
- Continuously improve sales strategies based on data and feedback.
What You Need
Skills & Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in delegate sales for conferences at large expos.
- A proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and networking skills.
- Experience in securing bulk deals and partnerships.
- Ability to set up and improve sales processes.
- Knowledge of CRM tools and sales reporting.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
