GSL Education are looking for a confident and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join schools in Grimsby. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to support teaching and learning, make a positive difference in the classroom, and help pupils achieve their best. Role Overview: As a HLTA, you will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, support individuals and small groups, and lead classroom activities in the teacher’s absence. You will be instrumental in creating an inclusive learning environment that promotes both academic and personal growth. Responsibilities as a HLTA: Support lesson planning and preparation alongside class teachers. Deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes. Monitor and assess pupil progress, giving constructive feedback. Provide tailored support for students with varying needs. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Assist in creating a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment. Requirements for HLTA: HLTA qualification or significant experience as a Teaching Assistant with the ability to cover classes is desirable. Experience supporting learning in a UK school environment. Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills. A flexible, proactive, and patient approach to supporting pupils. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply. A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
