Operations Controller- Your future position?
In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Operations Overseal UK.
In this exciting role your main objectives are:
- Business Support: You will support the site management in the development and analysis of business plans, forecasts, cost savings opportunities.Associated with the months-end financial close you support the management in strategic decision-making. In special projects you will give overall financial support.
- Planning and Forecasting: You will perform ad-hoc and proactive analysis of the monthly KPI\’s. and provide the management with interpretive and predictive information for decision-making. This includes the provision of analyses and interpretation of financial information to different functional management and stakeholders, including Group Controlling, Division Controlling, Operations Controlling, Functional Controlling (e.g. IT, Purchasing, HR). Moreover you will review the analysis of the site cost and identify variances vs. budget, last year and outlook. You will drive and recommend corrective actions. Lastly you will participate in forecasting and mid-to long-term planning for the factory.
- Budget Cycle, Costing and inventory valuation: You manage annual and periodic requirements of costing activities and analysis of COGS. You will provide detailed product costing analysis and support management in the evaluation of product costs. Moreover you manage and coordinate the annual budget process for the site. Lastly, you are in charge of the valuation of the inventory done on a monthly basis.
- Business Partnering: You will work closely with site engineers, local management, regional controllers and local finance from the stage of evaluating capital proposals up until value realisation. You contribute as an active member in site projects and initiatives that drive process/cost improvements (i.e., Supply Chain, LEAN, BIT). To stay informed of site activities you will attend and participate in site operations meetings and provide finance support/action where required.

Your professional profile includes:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar Controlling qualification
- 2+ years\’ experience in controlling in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of costing processes and procedures
- Proficiency in English, both literary and speaking
- Structured analytical thinking
- Strong financial background (budgeting process, reporting, financial analysis, controlling, accounting)
- Ability to integrate in complex teams within a matrix organisation
- Advanced Excel (can perform complex functions) and Powerpoint skills. SAP, JEDOX and TABLEAU appreciated.
