Join Amazon as a Senior Category Manager, Construction within the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) . This role involves leading strategic construction procurement activities across our diverse portfolio of multi-million-dollar real estate projects in Europe.
Based in Luxembourg, London, or Barcelona, you will be a key member of our Construction Category Procurement team, influencing major projects, driving sustainable procurement practices, and collaborating with professionals across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement construction sourcing strategies across supply chain tiers and geographies in Europe.
- Enhance Amazon\’s competitiveness by maintaining supply continuity, mitigating risks, and identifying opportunities for economies of scale.
- Drive cost savings through negotiations, standardization, and value engineering.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Negotiate and manage framework agreements.
- Support sustainability initiatives aligned with Amazon’s Climate Pledge.
- Provide market insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead procurement processes including tendering, evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Innovate procurement processes, leveraging automation and technology.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in procurement or contract management within construction.
- Proven ability to develop strategies for various construction supply chain tiers.
- Strong negotiation skills for large-scale construction contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; additional EU languages preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
