Sewell Wallis are looking to recruit a Financial Project Accountant to oversee the financials of multiple sights. This is a great opportunity to gain group exposure in a smaller sized business which allows you to get into the nitty-gritty of the accounts, gives variation to your day to day tasks, and allows real impact with your ability to influence decision making across the business.
As Financial Project Accountant you\’ll be working on various projects which will involve a broad range of accounting tasks that will give you a wide exposure within the industry. This hire is made with succession planning in mind, meaning your role will develop as you progress, getting more involved within the group functions, handling more responsibility and offers a clear developmental path. This is ideal for someone who has recently qualified and is looking to advance their career outside of a Practice environment, or a second mover with a couple years of industry experience (preferably with an Audit background).
You\’ll need to be a confident communicator, with great attention to detail who enjoys the technical elements of accounting, who thinks proactively and outside of the box when it comes to problem solving.
What will you be doing?
- Preparation of management accounts.
- Assisting with statutory accounts.
- Compliance and regulatory reporting.
- System development and support.
- Internal auditing multiple sites within the group.
- Payroll & Pension scheme.
- VAT and Corporation tax.
What skills are we looking for?
- Practice background within Audit.
- Newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
- Hard working, self starter.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
- Someone who is keen to forge a long-lasting career and get involved within the Group.
