A great opportunity has become available for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a reputable Oil and Gas company based in Aberdeen. If you have previous experience in a similar role with strong experience with Inventor, AutoCad and Mathcad, this would certainly be an advantage. The purpose of this role is to provide mechanical and structural engineering expertise to deliver lifting and deck machinery equipment solutions. Responsibilities: * Undertake mechanical and structural engineering activities across projects. * Carry out mechanical and structural analysis and hand calculations. * Generate engineering documents in the form of design packages, reports and technical notes. * Develop technical drawings in collaboration with Draftspersons. * Strong and effective working relationships with all internal stakeholders. * Work closely with the Design, Draughting and Installation Engineering Teams. * Liaise with Management teams. * Participate in Sales and Tendering support. Qualifications and Skills: * Degree in an Engineering discipline. * Proven experience in offshore mechanical and structural design, layout engineering, wire rope routing and lifting solutions. * Experience with Mathcad and FS2000/Staad is essential. * Comfortable using modelling packages, such as Autocad and Inventor. * Over 10 years of experience in mechanical and structural engineering.
