Navartis is working on behalf of a leading contractor in the infrastructure space who are delivering a range of high-profile aviation projects across major UK airports. With a strong order book and long-term growth plans, they are now looking to bring an experienced Health & Safety Manager into the team.
The Role
You\’ll be the go-to person for health and safety across several live construction sites. Working closely with project managers, delivery teams, and the wider HSEQ function, you\’ll take ownership of safety strategy, ensure compliance, and promote best practice across all levels of the project.
You\’ll need to be confident working across complex, high-risk environments-ideally with previous experience in regulated infrastructure or transport sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage health and safety performance across several active project sites

Lead site inspections, audits, and incident investigations

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to embed a proactive safety culture

Support training initiatives and deliver toolbox talks and briefings where necessary

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of H&S systems and processes
About You
We\’re looking for someone who combines technical knowledge with strong communication skills and an ability to influence safety outcomes in a busy operational environment.
What we\’re looking for:

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Safety & Health

Valid CSCS card

Experience carrying out internal audits; internal auditor qualification required

Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 frameworks

Up-to-date knowledge of current and upcoming health & safety legislation

Confident presenting to and engaging with all levels of a business

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, guide, and advise operational teams

Proven track record in a similar role within construction or infrastructure, ideally in a regulated or aviation environment
