About the Role:
You will work closely with our Product team and Data Scientists to define and execute on the future path for our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior engineers to design, build, and maintain front-end interfaces and systems that deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences, all whilst meeting launch deadlines.
- Develop responsive, interactive, and dynamic UIs for web applications that integrate smoothly with back-end services and data science models.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following best practices, UI/UX design standards, and accessibility guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, back-end) to define feature requirements and ensure the implementation of new features.
- Optimize front-end performance to ensure fast load times, smooth interactions, and a high level of reliability across different devices and browsers.
- Help implement and manage front-end build systems, deployment pipelines, and code versioning.
- Continuously improve the architecture and functionality of our front-end systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize front-end code, identifying and fixing issues to enhance the performance and reliability of the application.
- Stay current with new web technologies and industry trends to continuously improve front-end development practices.
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in front-end development or a related field, with a focus on web technologies.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience with front-end frameworks.
- Experience in building responsive web applications and familiarity with CSS frameworks.
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility, web performance, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of front-end build tools and package managers.
- A passion for creating beautiful, user-centric designs and interfaces.
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and learn quickly.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment, focusing on building and scaling front-end systems.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript features, TypeScript, and state management libraries.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles and collaboration with design teams to bring visual concepts to life.
- Knowledge of web security best practices and the ability to implement secure front-end code.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
