We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to join our delivery team on a flagship data centre construction project. This role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient site operations on a complex, high-tech build. Role Overview As the Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all site logistics functions on a large-scale data centre construction project. This includes the management of material deliveries, access control, internal/external logistics flows, and contractor interface management — all with a focus on supporting the high-performance and time-critical nature of the project. Your responsibilities will include: * Develop and execute a comprehensive logistics strategy aligned with the critical programme milestones of the project from pre-construction through delivery. * Manage logistics subcontractors and coordinate all material movements, offloading areas, internal distribution, and storage zones. * Establish secure and efficient access control, badging systems, and vehicle movement plans, considering site sensitivity and client requirements. * Coordinate just-in-time deliveries and sequencing of plant/materials in line with MEP-heavy construction workflows. * Oversee welfare facilities, temporary infrastructure, hoarding, and signage. * Drive compliance with all HSE, security, and quality standards on site. * Liaise with internal teams (MEP, Civil, Structural, Fit-out) and external stakeholders including suppliers and local authorities. * Track KPIs, maintain accurate logistics records, and report regularly to project leadership. * Embed digital tools (e.g., BIM for logistics, RFID tracking, delivery scheduling systems) where applicable. Requirements * Extensive experience in construction logistics, ideally in a lead or senior role on major project. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate large teams. * In-depth knowledge of site safety practices, CDM regulations, and traffic management protocols. * CSCS card and relevant health and safety qualifications (SMSTS/NEBOSH preferred).
