Forklift Operative

Forklift Operative Pay Rate: £14.42 per hour ~ Hours: Monday to Friday – 06:00–15:00 or 07:00–16:00 Streamline Services are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established building materials company, for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Yard & Production Operative. This is a 13-week temp-to-perm role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful probation period. Key Responsibilities: * Operating a counterbalance forklift (valid, in-date licence required) * Loading and unloading lorries for inbound and outbound deliveries * Yard operations, including stock movement and general site upkeep * Putting away products into designated locations * Assisting with general warehouse duties including tidying, labelling, and scanning * Supporting light production tasks including cut-and-bend, metalwork, and handling 4–5 metre monotube * Completing 5–15 tasks per day, following work instructions with attention to detail Ideal Candidate: * Holds a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence * Physically fit and comfortable with active, hands-on duties * Methodical and meticulous, with a focus on quality and consistency * Enjoys working independently and managing their own workload with minimal supervision * Willing to learn and take on new production-based skills – full training provided * Must have own transport due to site location What’s on Offer: * £14.42 per hour PAYE ~ (based on a yearly salary of 30,000) * 13-week temp-to-perm opportunity * Varied role with room to develop both forklift and light production skills * Supportive environment with on-the-job training If you\’re looking to build a long-term career in a stable and growing business, and enjoy a mix of forklift, warehouse, and hands-on production work, we want to hear from you
