About the role:

They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in demolition projects and develop your career in quantity surveying. You will support the commercial team in managing costs, contracts, and project documentation
Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing project budgets, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
  • Monitor project costs and progress, identifying any variances and reporting them to the Quantity Surveyor.
  • Support the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Assist with procurement, including obtaining subcontractor quotations and negotiating terms.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including measurement and valuation of work.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with site teams and clients to resolve any commercial issues.

About the requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in construction, preferably within demolition, is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
