The role:
The Finance Analyst will focus and support our Head Office entities, forming relationships and partnering with members of the Executive Leadership team and senior stakeholders to prepare budget updates as a crucial part of the monthly rolling forecast process. Using budget skills for cost saving and optimisation is key, collaboratively working with budget holders. PZ Cussons are a team, and a lot of the role works collaboratively including working with the vendor manager, project managers and providing financial support in relation to Opex and Capex in order to accurately forecast spend in line with agreed budgets. This role is very collaborative, is it important to be able to work together as a team and its a brilliant opportunity to develop relationships in a corporate setting!
Accountabilities :
Drive actuals reporting and monthly rolling forecast of CIL and other Head office entities
Provide business partnering support to key stakeholders to conduct regular bottom-up reforecast of P&L and balance sheet for head office entities as part of monthly IBP process
Critically analyse forecasts to identify risks and opportunities against the forecast, providing a challenge to stakeholders on areas of spend on cost base c£40m
Month end analysis of accruals and prepayments, with preparation of relevant journals
Support process improvement projects to ensure robust control environment in the corporate centre, and the transformation office to report on the significant projects
Be involved and support monthly Group consolidation process of actuals/forecasts, working closely with wider FP&A team to produce group results across all performance moments
Participate in key FP&A improvement projects, including delivery of strategic finance initiatives
Undertake ad-hoc requests from the business
Key Skills / Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), Late-stage studier would also be considered
Amazing and high level analysis, systems, and reporting skills
Exceptional organisational and communication skills
Able to identify, own, and resolve problems or recommend solutions
Comfortable working independently and organise own workload
Imperative to demonstrate the ability to develop effective relationships, communication and influencing skills
Important to demonstrate confidentiality/discretion
SAP experience, including BPC would be desirable
Previous Finance Business Partnering experience
