We have an exciting opportunity to join Capgemini as an Onsite Engineer in our End User Experience (EUE) department, supporting a broad span of high-profile clients in our vast portfolio. This role is required to be onsite in Barrow In Furness 5 days per week.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of preemployment checks, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).
Your role
Joining our dedicated EUE team, you will:
- Possess 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA and maintain a <2% incident per month target.
- Be responsible for the completion of assigned works within allocated timeframes.
- Undertake Project Tasks, supporting both internal and external Project Managers.
- Undertake NSR tasks to agreed timescales.
- Proactively communicate and coordinate with Level 3 teams to highlight major level issues.
- Install & configure software and hardware and find resolution of technical issues for laptop/desktop hardware, networks, printers, etc.
Your skills and experience
- An in-depth knowledge and good understanding of Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 10 & Windows 7), including build, configuration and registry settings is required, along with a level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Basic level understanding in SCCM/Active Directory and a working knowledge of IT service models.
- Networks experience to include an understanding of LAN/WAN/vLAN and Wi-Fi technologies, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE and VPN/remote connectivity.
- Computer peripherals – including but not limited to printers (including MFD\’s), display screens, docking stations, port replicators, cameras and scanners.
- Working Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) software, (ServiceNow), Microsoft Exchange environment and experience handling LTSC Channels and KIOSK is highly desirable.
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
