A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a high-growth publishing team at the intersection of music, storytelling and culture, building out a new model of artist-led publishing across trade non-fiction books. As this new team expands, they are looking for an experienced publishing professional to play a vital role in supporting and delivering high-impact publishing campaigns across their growing books portfolio. This is a fast-paced role, suited to someone who hasat least 12 months experience within trade book publishing, and ideally has experience of the publishing lifecycle. This role offers hybrid working.
You’ll be hands-on from day one; supporting multiple projects, managing key operational workflows, and liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders (from artist management to publishing partners).
What you’ll be doing:
· Assisting on the delivery of multiple book publishing projects from concept to launch
· Creating, managing and updating metadata, AI sheets and key marketing assets
· Supporting campaign planning and delivery in collaboration with music labels and internal marketing teams
· Coordinating reprints, stock splits and production timelines with third-party partners
· Producing pitch decks, sales presentations and internal reports
· Proofing, editing and copywriting as required across multiple formats
· Providing commercial insight and research to support future publishing opportunities
Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for a highly motivated and confident individual with proven experience of working in a trade non-fiction book publishing environment, with knowledge of the book publishing process. You should be comfortable working in a busy environment, working in an early-stage start-up or high growth business. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing sometimes tight deadlines. Great communication skills and confidence when dealing with people both internally and externally are a must for this role, as are excellent relationship-building skills. You will have solid IT skills and confident using data and reporting tools to inform decision-making.
