This independent firm specialise in the design, product and service provider to the Electricity Supply Utilities industry. They represent a wide variety of clients across the UK and hold 17+ years within their field. They\’re seeking a skilled individual with previous management experience to assist them with an extremely exciting project, recently won with National Grid. You will receive training into a niche sector to ensure you can manage specialist technicians and engineers. In this role the Service Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of up to 10 Technicians and Engineers to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction. You will act as a primary contact for new service tenders and oversee all field service activities. You will assist with the hiring and training process of new recruits within the department and mentor the service team to develop and promote personal development. The ideal candidate will hold engineering technical knowledge and previous management experience and have an enthusiastic and driven attitude to deliver on expectations when leading a growing team. This is a brilliant role for an engineer from either a mechanical or electrical background, who is keen to come off the tools and holds strong people and management skills. You will have the opportunity to become an engineering manager within a niche field, with a company that empower their employees and encourage internal progression.
