Job Vacancy: Business Development Executive (Distribution), North
Part of the global TOA family, TOA Corporation (UK) Ltd is based in Leatherhead, Surrey, UK. We specialize in six business fields: Voice Alarm, Intercom, ProSound, Distribution, Wireless, and Conference Systems, creating acoustic sound environments for safety, communication, and entertainment.
Job Purpose:
To plan and execute direct sales activities to maintain and grow sales of PA and ProAudio systems, as well as Voice Evac, Intercom, and IP Audio solutions. Develop business plans for existing accounts and new business opportunities aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and expand existing accounts and project pipelines.
- Interpret architectural drawings and tender specifications.
- Create proposals independently and with technical teams.
- Achieve specifications for TOA & Trantec solutions through regular contact with PA/AV integrators, distributors, and consultants.
- Conduct training sessions on products and solutions for PA/AV integrators.
- Respond to sales inquiries via email and personal visits.
- Support existing and new customers through planned account management and coordination with internal departments.
- Monitor market activities and provide feedback on products.
- Conduct market research to understand competitors and customer needs.
- Build and develop TOA & Trantec presence in current and new markets.
- Collaborate with other company functions to support organizational growth.
- Participate in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Represent the company at trade shows and events.
Territory & Target Sectors:
Focus on AV distributors, PA & Pro-audio integrators, fire/security integrators, M&E consultants, and end-users. Develop sales within approximately 100+ existing accounts and seek reliable, profitable new accounts.
Personality & Skills:
Self-motivated, results-driven, positive, and focused on quality relationships. Able to plan ahead, assess performance critically, and communicate effectively across all levels. Mature, credible, adaptable to travel within the UK, and a team-player.
Excellent communication skills, understanding of cost-effectiveness, branding, and social media. Proficient in Office tools, especially Excel and Word, with basic knowledge of databases.
Financial & Business Skills:
Understanding of business finance principles like gross margins, revenue, cash flow, and credit terms. Proven success in managing major accounts and large contracts, ideally with experience in the Commercial/Pro Audio/AV industry, interpreting tender specs, and working on large projects.
