Friendship Public Charter School operates a network of college-preparatory public charter schools, serving students from preschool through 12th grade. Our mission is to provide a world-class education that equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary for academic achievement and success beyond high school.

Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for students as requested or warranted.
- Act as an interdisciplinary team member in the special education eligibility process, administering Speech and Language assessments as required.
- Articulate test results to parents and MDT members in clear, understandable language attending to cultural sensitivity.
- Deliver group and individual therapy sessions as indicated on student IEPs.
- Maintain monthly progress notes as required by Medicaid regulations.
- Make recommendations for purchasing assessment materials to ensure that the clinical is adequately equipped with state-of-the-art resources.
- Keep abreast of advances in diagnostic materials.
- Maintain compliant IEPs, including contact logs and report progress accordingly to parents and team members.
Qualifications
- Experience in the role preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university (Master’s degree preferred).
- Must possess both of the following:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
- DC Department of Health Speech Language Pathology license.
