The Senior Fixed Wire Testing Electrician is expected to combine technical experience and knowledge with a high standard of accurate report completion.
As a senior member of the team, you will possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to liaise with clients and colleagues, as well as provide training and guidance to new team members.
You will:
- Travel to clients’ sites to perform fixed wire testing in line with the latest regulations (BS7671: 18th Edition) in large commercial premises.
- Conduct additional electrical testing services (such as Emergency Lighting, Thermal Image tests, and Remedials) as required. Training will be provided.
- Complete laptop-based EICR reports and submit job sheets accurately and on time.
- Help train, onboard, and mentor new or junior electricians within the team.
About you
- Excellent attention to detail and able to complete reports and job sheets accurately and on time.
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with clients to resolve on-site challenges and manage change.
- Good leadership skills; you are confident as lead engineer on multi-engineer jobs. You enjoy supporting your colleagues and training and onboarding new engineers.
- Willing to embrace a flexible work schedule (some days are 9am-5pm, while others may involve out-of-hours or weekend testing or staying away).
- Capable of working independently.
Must have
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in electrical testing within a commercial setting.
- Fully qualified with C&G 2391 or 2394/95, Level 3 C&G 2360, 2330 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installations and C&G 2382, 18th Edition.
- A full, valid driving license.
- A willingness to work flexible hours and travel to site.
