Senior Sustainability Consultant – Nr Aldermaston, Berkshire Hybrid and Flexible Working £50k – £70k DOE Building Services/ Sustainability / Building Physics / Consultancy / Sustainability Consultant This role is to join a small busy professional consultancy specialising in improving the energy performance of buildings. You will be working alongside a team of highly knowledgeable engineers on a range of projects. This role offers the right person scope to become a strategic part of the business and its future development. Duties & Responsibilities * Assisting with fee preparation associated with all sustainability input on a project. * Contribute to business development and promote the company in the wider industry. * Involvement in establishing the Energy and Sustainability requirements. * Budget and programme planning. * Work alongside project architects to agree thermal requirements and glazing strategies. * Constant input of the sustainability strategy at each RIBA Stage to ensure that the principal set are being delivered. * Advise on up-and-coming changes to legislation or other good practice guidance. * Maintaining up to date knowledge of emerging technologies through continued personal development. * Oversee the production of Sustainability / Energy Calculations * Developing the energy strategy from the inception stages of the project and overseeing energy calculations services all the way through to completion. Experience Required * A strong academic background in environmental, built environment or construction. * The ability to deliver projects in a timely manner, whilst assisting in the development of the business * High degree of confidence in assessing thermal modelling and dynamic studies, knowledge of BREEAM, SAP, Part O, TM59, SBEM. * The role has a strong opportunity for growth; therefore, you must be adaptable, independent, and ready to take on responsibility. * Possess leadership qualities in order to manage a project and lead a team. * The role will require travelling as and when required for attendance at offsite meetings or site visits
