Following rapid UK expansion, we’ve opened a brand new HQ in the heart of Brighton and are building a high-energy, high-reward sales team.
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you’ll play a key role in driving new business for Base.com by identifying, engaging, and converting eCommerce brands into long-term platform users. You’ll work from our Brighton HQ, collaborating closely with SDRs (Sales Development Representative) ,marketing, and our product team to deliver value to UK-based sellers — especially those on Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and other marketplaces.
Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle: from discovery to demo to close
Convert qualified leads passed by SDRs and marketing into paying customers
Understand customer pain points and clearly communicate how Base.com solves them
Deliver tailored product demos and consultations to eCommerce brands
Track progress in HubSpot CRM and manage a clean, up-to-date pipeline
Hit and exceed monthly targets for closed deals and revenue
Provide market feedback to the product and marketing teams
Requirements
2+ years experience in B2B SaaS or eCommerce tech sales
Strong understanding of the eCommerce retail landscape (Shopify, marketplaces, multichannel selling)
A natural closer with strong discovery, demo, and negotiation skills
Energetic, ambitious, and target-driven
Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
Team player who thrives in a collaborative office culture
