Risk Analyst – Midwest

Aon Global Risk Consulting is hiring a Risk Analyst to support a single client’s Corporate Insurance department in Metro Detroit.

While this role is virtual the candidate is required to be located in the Midwest (within 5 hour drive of Detroit) to be qualified for this role. Some travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in Excel, Access, Power BI tools with the ability to analyze large datasets to support property and casualty insurance programs.
  • Manage data warehouse, extract and interpret liability and property data.
  • Assist with insurance renewals, submissions, and reporting.
  • Perform loss forecasting, accruals, and self-insured analysis.
  • Communicate insights clearly and drive reporting improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, carriers, and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in property and casualty insurance.
  • Knowledge of property, liability, workers’ comp, and bonds.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • ARM or CPCU designation (or in progress) is a plus.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex data in a collaborative environment.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $87,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
