The Role
We seek a motivated, technical, and numerate individual to join our Financial Reporting team, focusing on joint venture results and consolidation within the wider group. This financial accountant role involves close collaboration with Financial Reporting Management, commercial teams, and stakeholders, contributing to business analysis, decision-making, and relationship building both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day finance matters and reporting for the joint venture.
- Acting as a primary contact for internal teams and external JV partners regarding financial issues.
- Preparing management information for quarterly board presentations.
- Analyzing performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Reviewing cash balances, funding needs, and preparing quarterly cash flow statements.
- Drafting technical accounting memos for JV transactions.
- Calculating funding requirements and quarterly dividends/distributions.
- Preparing JV management and statutory accounts, coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Assisting in operating forecast preparation for the annual business plan.
- Understanding complex corporate structures and communicating this effectively.
- Assessing financial covenants of customers.
- Collaborating on corporate transactions and restructures.
- Performing ad-hoc analyses to support management decision-making.
Candidate Profile
- Degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent qualification.
- Newly qualified Accountant (ICAEW or equivalent) with strong technical skills.
- Experience in top accounting firms preferred.

- Ability to take ownership and work collaboratively.
- Commercial awareness and analytical skills.
